David Barro. Cow eyes
Cow Eyes is the reflection of a generation that has returned to painting, one more example of how painting moves after and beyond painting, once it has been accepted that it is no longer a technique, but instead, a tradition, an idea capable of constantly reformulating itself. Painting has lost its unity only to take shape on other supports and also within the complexity of the real. That is why I believe it must be seen, first, from a certain distance, and then, somewhat closer. As viewers, we must be capable of suspending time. If there is one thing that distinguishes artists, it is how they look, and yes, I confess that, most of all, this is a show of painting, but this painting is slow and mysterious like nature reflected in a cow’s eyes.
